Inspired by the revolutionary football development philosophy of legendary Dutch coach Wiel Coerver, Coerver® Coaching was founded in 1984 by Alf Galustian and former Chelsea great, Charlie Cooke.

Astonishing claims of quality on the glossy website contrasted hugely with the training actually seen - repetitive/monotonous exercises, little discipline among players etc and online communication was non-existent (incl no advice of a cancelled session). The much hyped 'trials' are actually just a taster session; I'd be amazed if they ever turned any fee-paying 'players' away. The fact that the session had around 30 kids across age groups suggests others are presumably happy with it - the fact that it had no goalkeepers whatsoever highlights the absurdity of the claims of quality. Good branding and marketing but not a route to serious skills development.
