Coaching session based on the age of children.
My lad (U11) was very excited to have a taster session at the Peterborough Academy - little nervous but who wouldn't. Booked the session online and receive a prompt email confirmation stating:" Please arrive a few minutes earlier and look for PFA at Reception, where your PFA Coaching team will greet you. "We arrived early and spoke to a guy at reception advising us that not one would be there to welcome us. Red flag #1.He confirms that Pro Football Academy Peterborough was on pitch 5.Session was booked between 19:00-20:00 .We make our way to pitch 5 - there is one coach and a group of kids U9.Perfect we got the place. We wait.U9 sessions ends and next session starts to come in - about 20 kids U13 and above. My lad wonders and asks: "Is this a mixed age group? Am I the youngest here?". Red flag #2.Yes apparently they thought that a tester session for a U11 was fine to be in a group U13 and above? He said sarcastically. We bite – he goes in and it was a shamble – a little bit of conditioning - not much, a few games and that was it.
