About us

We Make Footballers: Chiswick School

The UK’s most trusted junior football coaching

We believe that all football playing countries need a stronger grassroots program if the next generation are to love the sport. While grassroots is the heartbeat of kids loving football, parents are rarely trained or equipped to introduce the sport in those crucial early stages, especially with such large groups and little support.

We Make Footballers are not just equipped, but proven at helping all children, no matter their ability, to be the best footballers they can be. We help our players achieve their potential while enjoying the journey.

Fifteen years ago we started We Make Footballers to provide best in class football coaching for boys and girls of all abilities.

It’s grown to 106 academies around the country, each now feeding into a local grassroots team and professional club academies when the time is right.

Our approach

Approach

Over the years we’ve developed a discovery learning theory to make our training fun, but effective. With over 200 players signed to professional clubs, it seems to be working!

The right approach

We find if you give players all the answers, they get lazy. They don’t think for themselves. They can’t problem solve. We want to present situations in which the environment teaches them and they can learn continuously with no fear of making mistakes.

We Make Footballers believe in a combination of learning through discovery, guided discovery and occasionally an autocratic (controlling) coaching style.

Guided discovery will often speed up the process in which the player finds the ‘right answer’. With trial and error, we are hoping the child gets the answer, however it may not come. The guidance points them in the right direction (the right direction is always open to interpretation).

infrastructure

Infrastructure

The company has 106 academies across the UK. The key locations include London, Essex, Kent, Middlesex, Surrey, Medway, Sussex, Scotland, and Hampshire, making quality football coaching accessible to a wide range of communities.

We Make Footballers is an amazing football program. My son absolutely loves it. All of the coaches are super friendly and seams to have an excellent knowledge about the sport. They really pay attention to every child. There are at least 3 coaches at every practice. My son has been going to WMF for few weeks now, and I see that he has grown more confidence and skills. It’s truly an amazing experience for him! I highly recommend WMW.

My 4yr son joined few weeks ago and he loved it! The staff have been very helpful in having him settle in and reassuring his and my nerves. I got to see the first couple of sessions before the tier increase and everything about it was very professional and kids being looked after. I would recommend anyone who has kids to come here as it's not only about playing football and having fun, there is real development for your child, structure and development.

My son has been training with We Make Footballers, since he was 3 years old. Marcelo and his coaches create a great environment where players of all ages and abilities can learn and enjoy football. Over the last 3 years, my son’s football has flourished under their coaching and he is now a very accomplished footballer playing at a very high level in his age group. I have recommended WMF to quite a few parents and many have joined their children up and continue to attend sessions.

Amazing place to learn football , my kid’s favourite session in London. The fact of being wooden floors brings some technical elements of Futsal which are so important for young players . Coaching team is top !
